The resurgences environments diversity and their natural preservation encourage many species of aquatic, terrestrial and amphibians animals. In a given area, the number of species largely depends by environmental quality, diversity and conservation, by the presence of specific vegetation and by the possibility that the environment offers the animals to find shelter, food and sites suitable for breeding during the winter. For this reason, resurgences with their clean, fresh and well oxygenated waters, with various types of woods in different stages ofmaturity, with meadows and natural and undamaged peat bogs offer a wide range of ecological niches for different species. In aquatic environments, for example, depending on the speed of water and soil composition, different and more or less dense vegetation is setting up creating a series of microenvironments that provide shelter and food to very different species. Here we find animals related to fast, slow and still waters, animals that live among stones, gravel, under rocks, into the mud or on vegetation.
