Vertigo angustior

It is a Palearctic distribution specie of small dimensions (about 2 x 1 mm), it is one of the few left hand snail, its colour is pale yellow brown and shiny.
It lives mainly in the more humid areas like woods edges, near ditches, under stones, in litter, in wet meadows and peat bogs. The species of Community interest Vertigo angustior is near water, on plants or in the mud of the shore.
It is considered a good indicator of environmental quality.
